Hi there! I’m Linda

Founder and Head Coach of Life in Color. I spent 15 years of my life struggling with body image. Dieting was a consistent state. I was a frequent traveler on the fat-free revolution train. And, I spent many hours in the gym crunching, planking, and sweating in the hopes of achieving the coveted six-pack.

It wasn’t until I had the opportunity to attend a presentation from Dr. Mark Hyman in 2016 where I learned the realities of the food and diet industry, that I fully understood what I was doing was not the way to health. It was the complete opposite direction. It was depriving, absolutely exhausting and unsustainable. And, I was no longer interested in it.

It was not an overnight change. It took years (and support) for me to learn how to un-tell the stories that I (with the help of society) had written and learn how to nourish my body and truly understand what it needs. And if this former carb addicted, cardio queen can do it, so can you. I am super passionate about helping women drop diets and build a healthy, vibrant, and colorful relationship not only with food, but most importantly themselves.

I am a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach and an AFAA Certified Group X Fitness Instructor &. Coach and am currently studying for my Behavior Change Specialist certification.

What you eat has a huge effect on how you think, feel, and act throughout your life. Learning how to let go of diet culture where whole food groups can be cut out, leaving your body without necessary fuel, and embracing mindful eating can change your entire perspective on what life is all about.

Recognizing Diet Culture

The first step to finding a solution is to recognize the problem in its entirety and to identify your why. Your why is your North Star for any big change you desire to make. Your why will help keep you motivated and grounded. This week, you’ll review the realities of diet culture and what beliefs and challenges you face as a result of it.

WEEK TWO & THREE

Setting the Stage

This week builds on week one and guides you through what you can do within your home and everyday to proactively address or remove anything that stands in the way of your success.

WEEK THREE & FOUR

Processing Emotions

Eating and emotions can be tied together closely. Learning tools on how to process and ride those waves will help you adjust not only your eating, but your mindset. This week helps you create balance.

WEEK FIVE & SIX

Creating Body Positivity

This week is all about acceptance and learning to appreciate your body and care for it right here, right now, instead of waiting for “later” or “when I reach”, or “when I lose.”

WEEK SEVEN & EIGHT

Nourishment over Dieting

This week focuses on giving you the tools you need to make healthy choices with foods that nourish your body instead of constantly restrict it through a diet.

WEEK NINE & TEN

Food for Feeling Good

This week will build on week five and will provide you a greater understanding as to why food is medicine and the types of foods that not only nourish your body, but help you thrive. In week six we talk about gut and hormone health as well as balancing blood sugar.

WEEK ELEVEN & TWELVE

Identifying what Doesn’t Work

This week is all about acknowledging what foods don’t help you to feel your best and learning strategies to replace and/or moderate these often very addictive foods.

WEEK THIRTEEN & FOURTEEN

Healthy Mind, Healthy Body

This last week is all about learning to dismiss that inner critic that haunts you when it comes to food, exercise, and your body!
